From 29 January to 2 February, the African Union Commission (AU), with the technical cooperation of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), organized an exhibition under the theme Information and Communication Technologies for Africa which took place in parallel with the 14th African Union Summit of Heads of State and Government.
ILRI joined up with sister organizations in the CGIAR and with CTA (Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation), organizing a stand under the theme ICT for Agriculture in Africa. From ILRI, we mobilized posters and display material from IPMS, DAGRIS, the Forage Gene bank, and BecA. ICRAF, Africa Rice and the ICT-KM Program joined us from the CGIAR. Our thanks to colleagues Apollo, Loza, Meron, Peter, Wondimu (from ILRI) and Ermias, Noah, and Aklilu (from IPMS) who made it happen.
